Every photographer has a unique aesthetic. Whether you're dreaming of classic and timeless portraits, a documentary-style approach full of candid moments, or a bright and airy vibe that feels light and romantic—take the time to explore full galleries (not just Instagram highlights!) to ensure their style aligns with the story you want told.
✨ Look for Personality & Comfort
You’ll spend nearly your entire wedding day with your photographer—so it’s important to genuinely like and trust them. A great photographer will make you feel at ease in front of the camera, understand your vision, and create a relaxed environment so your natural joy shines through.
✨ Check Reviews & Instagram
Online reviews offer insight into the experience other couples have had—how they were treated, how responsive the photographer was, and whether expectations were met (or exceeded!). Instagram is also a great place to view recent work, behind-the-scenes moments, and to get a sense of the photographer’s personality and professionalism.
Bonus Tip: Don’t forget to ask if packages include an engagement session, a second photographer and full-day coverage so nothing is missed. You want at a minimum eight (8) hours on your wedding day with a second photographer.
